Planning Your Winter Ski Vacation? Don’t Forget Your Ski Pass

Now is the time to be planning your winter ski vacation here at Beaver Run. If you are planning skiing for a few days or more, it is important to plan your lift ticket strategy too. Day passes at Breckenridge and other local resorts like Keystone and Vail tend to be very high, often over $250 for a day, and opting for an Epic Pass can be a fantastic way to save on skiing costs. This makes even more sense if you live near one of Vail Resort’s 39 ski areas scattered all around the country or plan to take more than one trip to ski this winter. Here’s a rundown of the best pass types to consider, each catering to different needs:

  1. Epic Pass: Ideal for those planning to ski multiple resorts and days. This pass offers unlimited, unrestricted access to Breckenridge and many other resorts, including Vail, Keystone, and Beaver Creek. This is the ideal pass if you ski at a Vail-owned resort near you and are coming to Breckenridge.
  2. Epic Local Pass: Perfect for skiers who want value and flexibility. While it includes access to Breckenridge, there may be holiday restrictions, making it a great choice for mid-season visitors. This is also a great choice if you are planning to ski more than 4 days or ski on more than one trip this winter.
  3. Epic Day Pass: Customizable and cost-effective, this pass is tailored for those skiing between 1 and 7 days. You choose the number of days and whether you want holiday access, offering a flexible option for short trips. This is perfect for that one-off trip to Breck.
  4. Summit Value Pass: An excellent choice for frequent Breckenridge and Keystone skiers. This pass provides unlimited access (with holiday restrictions) at a lower price point. If you come to Summit County a lot, this is a great option as you can use unlimited days at both Breckenridge and Keystone.

For current pricing and pass options, check Epic Pass, where prices typically increase as winter approaches. These passes often provide a better deal than buying day passes, especially as daily rates can exceed $250. Epic Pass prices will be going up on November 17th, so now is the time to secure the best deals on skiing this winter.
