Whether you’re chasing a personal challenge, exploring Summit County with family, or simply looking for an unforgettable race-cation, The Beaver Run offers a unique opportunity to experience one of Colorado’s most iconic mountain destinations.
Participants will enjoy spectacular mountain views, paved recreation paths, fresh alpine air, and a festive holiday weekend atmosphere before celebrating at Beaver Run Resort following the race.

Labor Day Music Festival
Labor Day Weekend concludes Summerfest with live music and entertainment at Beaver Run, featuring performances from Hope McGregor and additional artists throughout the weekend.
This year’s festival features a special live performance from Hope McGregor, bringing an energetic mix of country, folk, and mountain-town vibes to Breckenridge for an unforgettable evening of music in the Rockies. Guests can enjoy outdoor dining, drinks on the patio, and live entertainment surrounded by cool alpine air and late-summer scenery.
Whether you’re dancing by the stage or relaxing with friends and family, the Labor Day Music Festival is the perfect way to celebrate the final weekend of summer at Beaver Run.

Course Maps & Elevation Profiles
The Beaver Run utilizes Breckenridge’s paved recreation path system, providing a scenic high-altitude running experience through the heart of Summit County. The start/finish is hosted on the Blue River lawn of the Riverwalk Center.
All courses feature:
- 100% paved surfaces
- Mountain and valley views
- High-altitude racing at approximately 9,600 feet
- Clearly marked turnarounds
- Volunteer and aid station support
Please Note: The Beaver Run is designed as a mountain running experience, not a personal-record course. Participants should be prepared for altitude and a gradual uphill return to the finish.

Start Time: 8:00 AM (Halfway Cutoff Time of 9:30 AM)
The ultimate Beaver Run experience, featuring extended views, sustained climbing on the return trip, and a true test of pacing at altitude. The course trends gently downhill to the turnaround before climbing steadily back toward the finish, rewarding patient pacing and smart race execution.

Kids Fun Run
Following the start of the main events, children will have the opportunity to participate in a fun run on the Riverwalk Center lawn.
Participants will receive finisher recognition, medals, and additional goodies following the event.
