SUMMARY:Breckenridge Imperial Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The Imperial Challenge is a unique\, wild\, and fun pseudo-triathlon\, test of athleticism\, rite of spring\, and all around community party where local folks and uphill enthusiasts alike gather in Breck to race to the top of Peak 8 at 13\,000 feet above-sea-level! Participants start in town at 9\,600 feet above sea-level and race to the base of Peak 7 at Breckenridge Ski Resort on foot or on bicycle\, then transition over to uphill skis or splitboards and skins to make their way uphill to the top of Peak 8 before racing back down again. This route is no easy feat with nearly 4\,000 feet of elevation gain and approximately 10 miles of human-powered travel. This year’s event takes place on Saturday\, April 5\, 2025.
