DESCRIPTION:The countdown to ski season is on and it all kicks off with the annual community tradition\, Wake Up Breck\, on Thursday\, Nov. 6 in preparation and celebration of the resort’s opening day\, Friday\, Nov. 7. This year\, in partnership with local nonprofit organization\, Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center\, we are encouraging attendees to help fill their neighbor’s cup by considering a donation to support adaptive access to Summit County ski resorts. \nOn Thursday\, join Breckenridge Ski Resort and the Town of Breckenridge at participating coffee shops across Town to collect a FREE commemorative coffee mug and a free cup of coffee. Thursday’s event begins at 7 a.m. and lasts until all mugs run out. Mugs typically run out within the hour\, so guests are encouraged to arrive early and mugs are limited to one per person. \nParticipating coffee shops for this year’s Wake Up Breck event include – Breckenridge Coffee House\, Clint’s Bakery & Coffee House\, Coffee Depot at Main Street Station\, Cool River Cafe\, The Crown\, Daylight Donuts\, Mountain View Coffee\, Starbucks\, Unravel Coffee at Gravity Haus\, and Ullr Café at the base of Peak 8. \nFill Your Neighbor’s Cup\nThis year\, we are proud to partner with local nonprofit\, Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center\, for Wake Up Breck. Since 1979\, the BOEC and Breckenridge Ski Resort have partnered to provide adaptive recreation experiences in the outdoor community. The BOEC supports over 2\,000 participants annually through skiing\, snowboarding\, and other year-round adaptive programming\, including the world’s first and only wheelchair-accessible high-altitude ropes course.
